Definitely. I was given a thorough explanation about many techniques I could practice at home

The staff didn't seem to know very much, they couldn't ever answer my questions

I called the office to see if he is included in my dental insurance. I made an appointment with DDS Roessler after one of his staff member’s assured that he was indeed in my dental plan. I found out after I received paperwork from my insurance company that he is on longer included in my dental plan and that he left in 1995.

Yes, I should not have trusted the integrity of a staff member and verified his status with my insurance. Had I known, I would not have made appointments with DDS Roessler. Because he is no longer in my insurance plan, he is allowed to charge whatever price he wants. As a result, I paid 25% more for a procedure.

While in an exam room, he was talking to his staff about medication for a patient. His insurance company called to see if he could prescribe a lower cost of drug. He needed 3 tooth extractions several months and had not yet had the procedure. He told his staff that he couldn’t help those that cannot help themselves. This was an arrogant remark to state. It was unprofessional to talk about one of his patients by name while I was there. I believe this breaks HIPAA.
