Dr. Clarke is a famous specialist at JH for people with swallowing problems. My case is unusual and when after doing 4 tests including one specifically focusing on the swallowing manometry I found out that 1)the test had not been done properly and it was basically me choking like being waterboarded for three hours (the test usually takes an hour) and 2)after seeing Clarke with him telling me that my vomiting all day was unsolvable, I received a call from his secretary telling me that he had re-examined my tests and thinks I should try a muscle relaxer. I have been to every major hospital on the East coast and was surprised that a muscle relaxer was the world-famous dr's suggestion. I have been given every muscle relaxer on the market. Now I have no solution and after being assured that Dr.Clarke could help me, I see that he has a cookie cutter approach and if you don't fit in with his few suggestions, you're out of luck. He doesn't walk on water after all and Johns Hopkins is no better than Dr. Joe Blow down the street. I waited six months for an appointment and traveled all day for each test and visit and nothing. Asked me if I had tried scopolamine, which was the first medicine given a year ago. Don't bother.
