I never post reviews, but I had to post this. I, like so many other people, have a fear of dentists. 3 months ago I needed to have 2 teeth extracted and was recommended by someone to see Dr. Goveia. Dr. Goveia explained everything he would be doing every step of the way and made sure to ask me if I was in any pain or discomfort during the procedure. The extractions went very well, however, the roots of one of the teeth were so long they went up and into my nasal passage. The tissue healed up fine but the hole still remained and wasn't closing up. Dr. Goveia suggested we wait and see if it healed up on it's own. Bear in mind, this man gets PAID to do surgery and he was really hoping additional surgery wouldn't be necessary and said to avoid it if possible. I knew right there and then that this man actually CARES about his patients. He very easily could have suggested pushed me into additional surgery but chose to take the more cautious route in hopes of avoiding the surgery. After several follow up visits to monitor the healing Dr. Goveia suggested that it was time to do some surgery to close the hole up once and for all. I went in a week ago yesterday for soft tissue grafting. The surgery went well, and again, Dr. Goveia told me everything he would be doing during the procedure and took care to make sure I was in as little pain and discomfort as possible. The surgery went very well and yesterday I had my first follow up visit. He asked if I had any questions or concerns and we made an appointment for another follow up visit in 2 weeks. He and I are very pleased with the healing so far. Don't get me wrong, I hope to NEVER have to see this man again, but if I ever need to see an oral surgeon in the future I wouldn't think of going anywhere else, and I would highly recommend Dr. Goveia to anyone in need of an oral surgeon whether it be for a simple extraction or something more serious.

Thoughtless, careless doctor who does not care about his patients. I called for an appointment on a Thursday, my pain was pretty bad. He said he could not see me unitl Tuesday. It is now Sat. night and my face is all swollen, I am in excruciating pain and his answering service told me to go to an emergency room. I would not recommend this doctor. Oh, I forgot to tell you that he extracted a tooth for me a few weeks ago and it continued to hurt me (obviously he pulled the wrong tooth) because now I need to get this one pulled.

I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them. It made me that much more confident that I was under the care of a professional. I love that I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. Other places I've visited, seem to give up after they don't have an answer for me the first time, but not here. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice.

Last week I had 4 wisdom teeth out by Dr Goveia. I was so nervous I couldn't sleep much at all the night before,not knowing what to expect. I didn't have to wait long to be called into the room by the girl, and she made me feel more at ease. Before I knew it Dr Goveia came in,which was good because I didn't have much time to think about it, and he assured me that I would be okay. He told me that there's no need for me to be nervous,that soon I would be relaxed and wouldn't care where I was or what was going on. Boy was he right! Next thing I knew Dr Goveia woke me and told me that everything went well and my teeth were out. I couldn't believe anything had happened. From the time I was called into the room until I left took only an hour. I had heard so many horror stories from my friends about their wisdom teeth.I would highly recommend Dr Goveia. He has a way about him that really makes you feel at ease.
