VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH DR. MONKS OFFICE. PRIOR TO MAKING MY APPOINTMENT I PROVIDED THE OFFICE MANAGER WITH MY COMPLETE INSURANCE INFORMATION SO THEY COULD VERIFY I WOULD BE COVERED FOR MY ANNUAL CLEANING-XRAYS. SHE CALLED BACK AND TOLD ME EVERYTHING IS COVERED 100% SO I DROVE AN HOUR TO KEEP MY APPOINTMENT. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THEY CALLED TO INFORM ME THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE WITH REGARD TO MY INS. COVERAGE AND THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR $250!!! APPARENTLY, THEY PARTICIPATE WITH DELTA DENTAL BUT NOT MY PARTICULAR PLAN... THEY REFUSE TO HELP BY REDUCING THE BILL DUE TO THEIR ERROR!! DELTA VERIFIED THAT THEY CALLED IN BUT DID NOT PROVIDE THEM WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION I GAVE THEM, SO SLOPPY QUESTION - INNACURATE RESPONSE! VERY BAD CHARACTER! I WILL NEVER GO BACK EVEN IF MY FUTURE INS. PLAN WILL COVER HIM... PATIENTS BEWARE OF THESE GUYS!!!

They staff paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is extremely friendly and easy to deal with.

I had to have a cavity filled and experienced a lot of pain during the procedure. I was told to hold on a little longer while my cavity was drilled. I did hold on until the pain was too much to deal with. After that I was given more pain medicine and the procedure was complete. I had to return the next day to have the filling filed down a little more and expeirneced extreme discomfort. I was told to "Man Up" by the dentist. This was my last visit with the dentist for my family and I. I feel most upset that I had to leave his wonderful staff but not him.
