This was back in 1992 that this doctor, who was in a hurry to get to her son's piano recital during my delivery changed the course of my family's life for the far worse. She gave me the episotomy from hell which wasn't even needed because I had already given birth when she did it. This caused permanent nerve damage and loss of sensation which permanently affected my sex life afterwards. She gave me a giant dose of Pitocin which put me in terrible agony and disappeared, and could not be reached to dial it down. The severe contractions may have cut off oxygen to my son and caused permanent damage. The Pitocin drip is now considered to be a trigger for autism, which my son was later diagnosed with. Infants have an immature limbic system which matures when the baby nurses and produces oxytocin. It takes about 10 days for this to mature after birth and is critical for language and social skills. Pitocin stops the development of the limbic system at birth, causing permanent impairment. There should be a special place in hell for Dr. Menon and her poor treatment of me and my son.
