Dr. McGrath replaced all of my crowns. His work was beautiful, but apparently the material used does not hold up. My crowns...1 had a "hair line split" and was replaced. Then sitting with family after a funeral ,one had a large piece to break off, then while in physical therapy another one crumbled as well. My last crowns were still good, but because they were all done at different times, didn't look to great and I was having trouble with my gums and the margins. some of those crowns were at least 25 years old and going strong. My first one was less than 2 years old, the others around 6 and 9 years. My fear now is the front ones or all of them are going to crumble. I have night mares about my teeth falling out, I wake up spitting a hand full of crowns and crumbled teeth in my hand. I am no longer a patient of Dr. McGrath. For I cosmetic/crowns,go to a specialist. It is only cheaper in the beginning, not the long run.
