This was our first visit with Dr. Tafaro. He saw my son for an emergency and we will be using him for both our children from now on. My son was in experienced caring hands. Dr. Tafaro listed to my son's responses and made sure every step he took was painless. Not only did he explain everything to me but when I told him I wasn't sure about what he was saying he didn't hesitate to break it down further and make sure I knew 100% what was going on.

I have been taking my kids here for years and Dr. Tafaro is always professional and caring, especially with the younger one who started out a very nervous patient. The waiting room here is appropriate for children, everything is always clean and neat. The staff is great with kids, friendly, welcoming and always on the ball. (Too bad they don't take us grownups!)

Visit this pediatric dentist if you would like to see professionalism at its very worst. I was at first fooled by the child friendly waiting area, but soon discovered the truth about these people. When I made my initial appointment I was given the wrong address so it took me three hours to find the place and then I had to reschedule. The tall skinny lady with the blonde hair wanted to argue with me that she told me the correct address. If you are looking for this place it is NOT LOCATED ON PARK AVE. I let the address correction go because I was upset and thought maybe I was wrong.

My second visit I felt like these people were just extra rude, they don't even greet their patrons! I said hello to the short and stout dental assistant and she acted like I had ruined her entire day. I once again let that go thinking maybe she will warm up to me. I was wrong.

On my third visit, I went into the office with a cool head ready for the rudeness and unprofessional demeanor that I was getting ready to encounter. Of course nobody said hello or good morning to me. Dr. Tafaro came into the room and greeted my son; I thought that was weird that he was say hello to a child while not addressing the parent. This is a pediatric dentist, he didn't begin by asking if my four year old son needed to use the restroom before he began his work, or ask me if I had any concerns since the last visit. He promptly put on a gas mask, which was too tight, and began chatting it up with assistant (the rude stout one) about American Idol.

My daughter needed to use the restroom so I took her. When I came back I saw that the Dr. was about to numb my son's mouth, so I told my husband that I would be in the waiting room. Dr. Tafaro shot me a dirty look and told me that he was running a professional practice and there would be no running in and out. He also said some other very rude things that I will leave out. I couldn't believe his tone and attitude. So I told him to stop what he was doing because I wished to take my son to another dental office that practiced professionalism and actually knew the meaning. I then told him that I have never experienced such a rude, and uncourteous group of so called professionals in all of my life.

I then went to get my sons coat and prepare my children to leave. On my way back to the room with my 5 year- old daughter holding my hand, the Tall skinny receptionist with the blond hair grabbed me by the arm and told me that I could not go back to the area. I was shocked! Not because of her request, I couldn't believe that this woman actually put her hands on me! I drew back my arm and questioned her assault. She then pushed me and told me that I was not allowed back into the room and if I attempted to go back there she would physically remove me from the office. Was she kidding me? I explained to her that my four year-old was back there and I as his mother had every legal right to be there with him.

At this point Dr. Tafaro came into the hallway screaming in my face. I could not concentrate on what he was saying to me because I was still in shock. I have Dr. Tafaro standing to my left yelling and spitting in my face and I have this crazy tall lady directly in front of me screaming and yelling in my face. Meanwhile my daughter is holding my right hand crying, and I am literally backed up against a wall. I could not believe what was going on, my husband stepped out into the hallway, and they both backed off a bit. As I was leaving the office a lady said to me, " I'm glad that someone is standing up to these people. I personally would never bring my child to this dentist. They are the worst."

I do plan on reporting this incident to the BBB and any other organization that will listen. Unbelievable!
