I have been seeing Dr. Melnick for as long as I can remember. He is the only dentist I would ever let work in my mouth. He is a perfectionist and does excellent work. He is conservative and doesn't rush to do any work unless it has to be done. I feel very comfortable with him and his staff.

I haven't seen Mr. Melnick in almost 5 years but my experience was so terrible that I find time when another site pops up to warn people about this dentist/man. He had no regard for me or my time and he and his assistant were terribly rude. His secretary/mother in law actually contacted my wife (she wasn't a patient and had absolutely no contact with anyone in this office prior to their viscous phone call) and said some terrible things about me that were riduculous. All this because I questioned a bill that they had sent me after they made me sit in a chair for almost an hour knowing that I had a an urgent meeting shortly after my last appointment. Shockingly terrible. Worst dentist I have ever seen in almost 40 years.

Yes! They bled for days!

Let me be clear: I'm not the type of person who usually leaves reviews on websites. It's just not something I do. And like most people I don't love going to the dentist. However, I do know a consummate professional when I see one and Dr. Melnick is certainly that. While I now live in NYC and due to an extremely busy schedule go to a perfectly sufficient dentist a block away from my office, Dr. Melnick treated me for the first 24 years of my life until I moved out of town, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. When I was a kid across the street in the park playing baseball with my friends when I should have been in for an appointment, his mother-in-law/receptionist would literally come out to the park and bring me in. Didn't really appreciate it at the time, but I sure do in retrospect. Not only is his work absolutely top-notch, but he is probably the kindest and most reassuring dentist you could ever hope for. And his work is hands-down the best you can get, in NYC or NJ. Even his hygienists are friendly, well-trained and more than competent. Last time I went, the hygienist who gave me my cleaning was telling me how she was training to become a dentist, and how Dr. Melnick was fully supportive of her endeavors. Five stars all the way. Recommend him without hesitation.

Daniel received excellent care by me ( Dr. Melnick ).....he even admits it!......He continues to use the internet to place personal attacks, which, regretfully, is his right to do. I will continue to defend my professional standing in this community. After 28 years of practicing in Hoboken, my record speaks for itself. I was referred to Marc Melnick by a friend about 6 months ago. He did a check up, several filing and some additional work on my teeth. His work was OK but he had no regard for anything other than his time and money. My last visit in January, he decided that his time was more valuable than mine and proceeded to tell me that he would have me out of the chair within 40 minutes and on my way to an important business meeting. An hour and a half later I had missed my appointment and lost out on a very lucrative deal. Now, I understand that dentist run over and patients must wait but I continually pleaded with him to not start the procedure unless it would be done in a timely fashion. He disregarded and I am left holding the bag.
I decided to waste his time and not pay him in a timely fashion. Maybe it was juvenile but I wanted some pay back. They called, sent letters, threatened me through V-mail and even call my wife (not a client and never met) to discuss my situation with her.
*** I have no problem with them harassing me all they want but going after my wife while she is home with our 2 month old baby???? Do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys. They are no good!!!
