I was reffered by my dentist at Mid hudson dental to this place and arrived on time and was given the regular information documents to fill out and sign. one of the forms indicated that I have read and understand their privacy policy and i pointed out to the clerk at the desk that I cant sign to something that I have not seen or read. She indicated that it is just if my doctor needs information i impressed on her that I have still not read it.

I think there is a difference in reading a privacy policy and release of information and if that is included in their policy then that should have being indicated on the form so it is clear and have a copy in the lobby so it is available to be read by current or prospective patients.

In a very annoyed voice she waved the policy in a dirty plastic covered folder at me saying if you would like to read it i should just ask and the shocker is when the blurted out " it is too early in the morning for this" I told her that she does not have to talk to me like that and that i work in healthcare and is fully aware of the procedures. She indicated that she has had her job for 5 years and that's what is horrifying because if this person has been there for 5 years being that rude to customers and patients I just have no words for that.

I indicated to her and the others in the office behind her that she needs customer service training and one of the ladies in the back thought it was funny and started to laugh. That was even more insulting i manage the operations of a facility with 200 employees and if this happened in my building I would release that employee. I asked for all my information back and told them if I am treated that way at the desk , my god i would not want to go in the back. Your front desk personell represent you and I hope this surgeon is awarethat this is how he is being portrayed i dont defrenciate between those employees and the dentist if she has being there for five years.
I could not be the first customer she treated that way. This is the surgeons responsibility to know his employee especially those handling the patients that puts money in his pocket. I refuse to be treated like that and spend my money. I would not recommend anyone to this office and I already informed my dentist of my experience, I guess that will result in less referrals.
