I went to see Dr. Mauleon for a cleaning and again for a filling. During the exam, he did nothing but lecture me about how terrible my teeth were, and when I asked about specific problems I've been having, he didn't answer my question. When I went in for my fillings, he told me that he'd be drilling & filling 5 cavities in 2 teeth. From the time he started drilling to the time he finished the fillings, it took 15 minutes. Unlike previous fillings I've had, it didn't feel like the drilling was focused & precise, it felt as though it was bouncing around. The same was true of the filling material--it felt like he was slapping it in. For more than a week after the filling, I was in severe pain, having to take upwards of 1200 mg of ibuprophen to get through the day. In addition, I can't floss between the two teeth because of the filling material, I can't chew on that side of my mouth, and I'm experiencing worse hot/cold sensitivity than I did before the fillings.

The one positive thing I can say is that the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very nice, answered all of my questions and did a great job--I would happily go back to her.
