This is the best ran dental office that I have ever been in. The staff is fast and efficient. The care is extraordinary and payment plans are available when insurance doesn't cover something. EXCELLENT DENTAL CARE!!!! Office is clean and neat and waiting time is minimal. There's no "Call for an apt" n an emergency situation. The staff actually asks you when you want to come in.....

I had a great experience at Dr. Raio's office. The office is clean, and the staff is so friendly. I recommended him to my friends and family it was one of the best dental visits i ever had.

Dr. Raios is incompetent. I am dealing with the consequences from the treatment provided by this dentist. I recently had a root canal in November and I've had continual, subsequent infections and my tooth cannot be saved. This provider has consistently given me false information with every visit regarding the excrutiating pain I was enduring. Finally, I began seeing a new dentist who has been giving me clear answers to all my questions/concerns. Apparently, Raios is all about the almighty dollar because he performed the root canal when he clearly needed to pull the tooth out. The list goes on. I would NOT recommend this dentist.

As a new client they made me wait 45 minuts so I just walked out! who knows how much longer I would have had to wait plus there was no where to sit, no restrooms, dirty waiting room, no space inside examination room so you can't even take kid or parent with you. Staff was clueless, didn't even know what time my appointment was?!
The whole experience was bad and I'm glad I walked out so I won't have to come back there. I went to other places after, one in Holbrook, one in Ronkonkoma and one in Port Jeff and boy what a difference!
This Dental office is so old fashioned, they could take only basic X-rays! . One of the first things I noticed when I came in for my appointment here was that the building & the whole office was not handicap-accessible. I didn't see any ramps or wheelchair accessibility, which seemed kind of strange to me. Don't go there, plenty of nicer places around.

Be aware that this office outsources its lab work. Crowns, bridges, and dentures are from China. I believe consumers should be aware if their lab work is outsourced. Especially, if they are paying out of pocket.

They've answered a couple of my questions over the phone, but most of the time I have to schedule an appointment. My teeth cleanings have always been very comfortable, and I've never experienced any pain. They always go above and beyond to make sure I'm relaxed. Not only did they give me a local anesthetic to make sure I didn't feel any pain during my procedure, they paused every few minutes to make sure I was still comfortable and okay. I felt like they really cared about me. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time.

I called Dr Raios office about making an emergency appointment for a broken tooth.They said the tooth needed a crown but they could not do it because they were no longer accepting my plan after the first of the year. They gave me another dentist's number. When I called I got an answering machine saying he was not at his desk multiple times. I went back in and asked for another dentists number that they gave me on a previous occasion, The girl said they did not have it .I asked if I could see a phone book and she said they had none. She seemed very flustered about the whole "thing". The first time that I previously went to Dr. Raio he said I needed to see a periodontist for bone loss. He said it was not covered and gave me the name of a periodontist that did not accept my plan.. He said find out the cost of a initial consultation. I went to a different periodontist that did accept it and the initial consultation was covered. The periodontist said nothing needed to be done and did not know what Raio was talking about. At the second visit described above Dr Popp in his office said I needed a crown. When I went to the next dentist he said I needed a root canal and a periodontist to see if the crown would work. I had asked if Dr Raio could take a quick look at it for another opinion when I was there..Although he was in the next room he said I would have to make another appointment to do that. The next dentist that I went to said the loose part of the tooth could be swallowed and ingested in my lung. He extracted it immediately.I was under ithe impression that the appointment was with Dr. Raio to begin with since my last appointment was with him.. Dr. Popps asked what happened with the periodontist that she sent me to. I had to tell her that it was Dr Raio who sent me to the periodontist. I did not know if she actually believed that she was the one that sent me or if this was some type of harassment. Either way I figure its bad news. If there is a legitimate reason not to see a patient its easy enough to state it. This is not to imply that I mind being harassed. I just mind being harassed by a bunch of jerks.Several days later I left my number for Dr. Raio to discuss the situation and he did not call back. On a previous occasion I was told that I would get my x ray emailed to me by the end of the day. When it did not come I had to call multiple additional times.with an appointment pending somewhere else. I have seen other reviews online saying he is unconcerned about his patients and the office is inefficient. I don't know it they prefer undemanding patients who just sit thee like a lump. The review by Tiffany is so completely positive that I wonder what her relationshjp and motivation is.
