My husband has been a patient of Dr. Powers for years and I was a patient for years until an insurance switch. We have found Dr. Powers, the hygenists and secretaries to be very pleasant and caring. Dr. Powers is so personable, my husband is really going to miss him when he retires.The hygenists and office staff are always so caring and polite. There is, however, one exception - the office manager or accounts manager is quite rude and borderline nasty. I've been told that work couldn't be started until my portion is paid in full; she is not even open to working with patients or trying to provide a payment plan. And that's okay, I understand they may have had people in the past that didn't pay but her demeanor is rude, short and unfriendly. I was given a diagnosis code and told I would have to contact my insurance company to get my own estimate, apparently this service is no longer performed by office staff which was a surprise to my insurance customer service person as well. After my dental service, I was told by the office manager that "your insurance company will send you a check, MAKE SURE YOU SEND IT TO US." Which I promptly replied, "I always do". We have received numerous checks to pass on to Dr. Powers office and we always have so I cannot understand what she was getting at. I felt like it was an accusation. I understand people must do their jobs efficiently but someone should have given this account manager some lessons on common decency, politeness and told her a smile goes a long way.

Definitely! They paused every few minutes to make sure I was comfortable

Definitely! I saw it as soon as I walked in!
