The staff is very friendly, they made me feel comfortable. HOWEVER, their billing staff are complete imbeciles. My procedure was simple, so is my insurance but I have spent a lot of wasted time trying to simple math for them and show them that my balance was already paid/paid by insurance.

They double filed my first appointment with my old insurer & a new one 3 months later. Of course I wasn't a member of my new insurance during the appointment 3 months later, so it got rejected. I looked it up, not only had they already filed it with my old insurer, they had already BEEN PAID. They mailed me a bill for this amount, and I had to prove to them that they did get a check for it. They made me call the new insurance to ask why it had been rejected. I spent hours on the phone going back and forth with them and through all the paperwork to prove it to them. It was so confusing, they offered no apologies or anything when I called.

I'm just fed up with that whole experience and not going back, it's a shame because their actual dental staff was good, but I can't be babysitting your paperwork, I wonder how many other patients are overpaying if they don't have the patience to check their work?

I had to find a new dentist for myself and my 5 year old after our move to Akron. Due to convenience and google reviews, I chose Waterloo Dental. Over the phone the receptionist told me my son and I could both be in and out within an hour. I was trying to work within an hour and a half time frame on my lunch break. When I arrived, the receptionist advised me that an hour for both of us was unrealistic so I canceled my own appt. My 5 year old had x-rays done a year prior but they need some of their own. After the hygienist jammed the x-ray pieces into my son’s mouth several times to the point of cutting the corner of his mouth, making him gag and spit up and then cry, she acted as though my son was ridiculous but did nothing to comfort him or explain to him what was going on. I tried to help her but she acted like I was invisible and went and found another aide to help. The hygienist tried again while my son was visibly very upset to which I finally had enough and said I wanted her to stop. At one point I started to get ready to walk out but hate making scenes and didn’t want to seem ridiculous. To add to this, our appt was at 12:40 and we weren’t taken back until 5-10 after 1. By the time the dentist came to check my son’s teeth, it was 1:45. I was furious. Especially since the dentist stood in the cubicle area next to ours talking about drinking and the man’s whole life story. It was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. All my questions were answered. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all.

I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. It's always bugged me when other dentists' I've visited didn't take the time to really examine my teeth. I didn't encounter that here at all, they made an extra effort to inspect my teeth very thoroughly. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. I felt that they really valued my health and happiness because they followed up even after my appointment just to check up on me. It was such a nice gesture that made a huge difference.
