I was very happy with the dentist and the work she did. What I was very unhappy with was the service from behind the counter. After my comprehensive exam I made an appointment to go back for two fillings. I asked the girl at the counter how much it would be for the fillings. She told me that she did not know, but that the experienced receptionist would call me with the price. I never received a phone call. I ended up calling them two days before my appointment and was quoted a price of $77.60. On the day of my visit I called again to make sure I would have enough and the price was still $77.60. When I got to the office they told me the price was $65 for both fillings. I was glad that not only did I have enough money, but I had a few dollars left. I handed over $70. It took a while to get my receipt, but I never got my change back, which I did not realize until I was getting my fillings. The dentist did a great job on my filling (just one tooth). She also did the tooth next to one she was filling since "it had to be done anyway" and I was still numb. When I returned to the counter to make my next appointment I asked for my change that I never received. She seemed unhappy because she thought I only gave her $65 when I gave her a $50 and two $10's. I never got my change. What I did get was a bill now for $120. I was very confused on how the priced jumped, almost double, since the dentist never charged me for the second filling she did. She was behind the counter when she said, out loud, that I was not going to be charged for the extra one she did since I did not know about it ahead of time. When I asked the receptionist for my $55 dollars back she told me that she had misquoted and the price had always been $120. I have one cavity getting filled at a later date and they quoted me a price of $140 for that ONE. I made her give me the price in writing this time, but I will be calling around to make sure that I did not get taken simply because I was paying cash. I was lucky enough to have the $120 because I was going to get my car fixed after my appointment. But since they took me for all that I had that day I am stuck waiting until this weekend to get my car fixed. Get all of your prices in writing before you leave their office. Do not call because it will take at least four tries to get through during regular business hours.
