Best dental visit I have had in awhile, the staff was very nice and friendly and they really got a handle on my dental problems. They were able to see me the same day I called with a problem. I would reccmmend them to anyone.

Have been going to American Dental in Hamburg for a few years. I have good insurance which covers all routine cleanings and x-rays ect... as well as good oral health. On my last visit I was told it was time for my routine x-rays. I believed them only to get a bill a few months later. I argued with my insurance company only to find out it was the dentist who took too many x-ray. The x-ray were only allowed once a year and they had taken them at my previous 6 month cleaning. They are nice but WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked. They should really allow for more time in between appointments if they want to keep any business. They could have definitely been more gentle while they were cleaning my teeth. It wasn't too terrible, but I definitely wasn't comfortable. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. Not only was I not able to watch TV during my dental procedure, I couldn't even read a magazine or look out the window. I was extremely bored the entire time. Sometimes, I have to persuade them that I have an important concern that needs their attention. There have been times that they've paid attention to my concerns, but not many.

I needed a dentist and a friend from work suggested a few in the area, I was a walk in not sure if that is usual for that office, but still the dentist did see me, met the important staff. Gave all my insurance information to the billing person, Chris, I thought this would be my dentist . I had scheduled another app't for 10/12, one week before hurricane Sandy hit our area, I called and canceled. The day after my app't the office called and told me that I Missed my app't, , and a lecture about app'ts, but I called due to acts of GOD. In 01/13 had an app't was greeted with the professional staff, went back to see the dentist sat in the chair, I needed a filling, and he proceeds to administer
novacaine in the area of the tooth, and asks me did I see Chris, who? and the Tech. says you need to see Chris before you see the dentist, Who is Chris,, Aww the billing person, WOW, I'm sitting in the dentist chair, the 2 of them leave me, and what I hear, sounds like a heard of elephants fumbeling down the hallway, my back is towards the door, and saliva is streaming down side of my lips, and in walks the billing person, screaming at me because I did not come to the billing office first. To pay what my insurance didn't cover. I have been going to the " dentist" my whole life, and this is the 1st time I was EVER treated like this. I would NOT recomemend this pratice to ANYONE.

No, I don't think they've ever cleaned it

No, they are really great about answering the phone right away
