Something has changed. In the past this dentist has always been helpful. Although rough handed and stern, she has been cleaning and checking my kids teeth for a few years. Being that this was the only dentist in town that took our insurance I had to settle.
Recently, my daughter knocked out her teeth in the front, I call the dentist but she could not help because she was going out of town. She had no referral office to send me to. Luckily I found Smilebuilderz in town and started treatment securing the teeth. I came back to Dr. Mitchual because I trusted her and wanted a second opinion regarding my childs trauma. A root canal was needed. At the beginning of the appt. she said she could do a root canal, after looking at the xrays she said that she "didn't want to get involved" or be "held responsible" and told me to go back to Smilebuilderz to do the root canal. This was not comforting in any way and I thought she was upset with me for not coming to her sooner. We went back to Smilebuilderz with a team of professionals and specialists, that take our insurance! So her teeth are being well cared for now.

This Friday I received a call from Dr. Mitchual because I supposedly had scheduled an appt. for my other kids on their first day of school on Monday, On the phone I said there must be some mistake because I would not have scheduled a dentist appt. on the first day of school and that we need to re-schedule. Her new assistant said they will charge me a $50 per child to show fee! What? The office makes a mistake and I have to pay? I said this is Friday and the Appt. is Monday, that's enough notice and since this mistake is not my fault, I should not have to pay.
She put me on hold and then got back on the phone and said it they would charge me $60 for the missed appt. I said this is not my fault and I can't pay. The phone got cut off. I called right back... no answer. WTHeck!! What is going on??? I am so upset and disappointed with this kind of treatment. We had been going to them for years, I thought they cared about us, guess not! Her new employees are ruining the business and she, the dentist is either not confident or angry and petty because we went someplace else (when she was out of town!!). We will never go back!!!!!!!!!!
