In April 2004 I decided to try Dr Bean to have my teeth cleaned because my regular dentist had moved to Mesquite. Dr. Bean charged $208.00 and was paid $142.00 which was the contracted rate for Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition he had a -$17.00 PDP/PPo adjustment. The balance owed was $49.00. I assumed that I would be billed for any differences after the insurance paid their portion. I can honestly say that I never received a bill for the balance nor was I called in regards to the unpaid balance. In Oct 2005 I moved to Amarillo.

Stonebriar Dental alleged that I owed $49.00 but had from August 2004 to until Oct 2005 to bill me prior to my move to Amarillo. In addition I had a left a forwarding address through the USPS. Stonebriar Dental never sent me a bill for the $49.00 but decided to report the $49.00 (now turned into $94.00) to a collection agency.

I later found out this out through my credit reporting service that Stonebriar Dental, through their collection agency Anderson Crenshaw & Associates, had reported my account was delinguent in the amount of $94.00 in 02/2006.

When I found out who had reported this, I contacted Stonebriar Dental and paid them the $49.00 that they said was owed in April 2007. I asked them to be sure to remove this adverse report from Experian, Transunion, and Equifax. Dr. Bean was to have contacted (emailed) his collection agency and to let them know that the amount owed was satisfied. Now in May 2009 my credit score is still being adversly affected on Equifax and Transunion because of this doctor's failure to correctly report the facts.
