Pros: I love the office; it is clean and it seems they have the top of the line equipment. The website is very informative, but slightly outdated. One of the hygienists, Andrea, is so nice and very helpful and she really knows what she is doing. Dr. Adams himself seems to be nice. This is a great place to come for regular cleanings.
Cons: 1) The office does not discuss the patient's out-of-pocket cost before suggesting and going ahead with extra procedures. They will tell you that, yes, it is covered by your insurance, but not what your portion of the cost will be. You really have to be your own advocate and have the knowledge and energy to insist on the exact out-of-pocket cost before consenting to the extra procedures, because they will get you into that chair and you will end up owing more if you don't.
Cons: 2) Not all hygienists know what they are doing. It's odd to say that X-rays were torture, because they really shouldn't be and it has never been a problem for me before. They didn't have different sized mouthpieces for the X-ray and they had to be retaken several times because the hygienist could not get it positioned correctly, and in the end it was determined to be "good enough". This happened on more than one visit.
Cons: 3) Also beware, I do not believe the skill to read X-rays is up to par. On two occasions, I was referred to an endodontist, who took X-rays, read them, charged me $220, and sent me right back to the dentist because I didn't need an endodontist; I actually needed the dentist. Needless to say, that was not only very frustrating but a huge waste of my money and time.
Dr. Adams is a great dentist. I saw him for the first time today and not only is he congenial and friendly, his skill level is first-rate. He was able to fix a broken tooth that had very little tooth left...and without any pain from the first shot to the addition of a temporary crown. His office is modern, with the latest equipment and impeccably clean. His office staff is friendly, kind and concerned. So glad I found him. And this review is being written by someone who's terrified of dentists.
They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. His front office want to max out both of my insurance, that tell me they are all about the money. He kept saying crown them all to his front desk person. Very disturb dentist. I would not recommand him to any one. With this economy we needs to flag these money hungry health-care providers.
WE HAVE RECENTLY MOVED TO WA. AND NEEDED A DENTIST..AFTER SEARCHING I FOUND DR. ADAMS. THIS WAS THE MOST THOROUGH EXAM I HAVE EVER HAD..NOT TO MENTION THE CLEANING WAS EVEN BETTER..HE IS VERY PERSONABLE, AND HIS STAFF IS SO FRIENDLY..I TOOK MY CHILDREN AND REFERRED MY MOM..I LOVE THIS PRACTICE..U GOTTA GO SEE HIM!!
