Dr. Mabe is a very knowledgeable, punctual and compassionate doctor. I have recommended several family members to her in the past, all of which just love her. She always takes her time and never talks down to you when you have questions or concerns. If there are any concerns she handles them usually within the day but she's very good about handling everything right then and there. Dr. Mabe goes above and beyond what most doctors do when she cares for someone. You get a sense of what it would be like if you were a family member being treated by her. I could choose any doctor from my area but there's a certain trust that comes with her as your doctor that's why I drive to Columbia to see her. She hasn't been at Crossroads Family Practice in probably 5 years. She and her new staff are a much better fit for each other. I imagine it was hard to be the doctor, front office babysitter and supervisor all at once. Her new staff are a pleasure to deal with and are very professional in their duties..

I wish she would surround herself with better medical and office personnel. I think she is fine as a Dr. but don't enjoy going there because no one there is warm or welcoming and I've had a very hard time getting anyone to call me back for days.

Horrible doctor that sends you in for unnecessary tests that she never calls and gives you the results for even though she recieves them immediately. She is a complete waste of time and money. Misdiagnosed my mother with an aneurysm in the artery to her heart. That test came back negative then she disgnosed her with lung cancer. My mother has never been a smoker. She put my elderly mother as well as our entire family through weeks of worry and stress for nothing! She is perfectly fine and we are thankful for that. She has no health issues at all. We waited a week for her to call us with the results of these tests. Both hospitals confirmed that Dr Mabe received the results the same day the tests were done. My mother had to call her office BOTH times and Dr Mabe had her SECRETARY call my mom back to inform her the tests were negative. My mother will never be going back.
