They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately.

I have been going to see Dr. Cohen for over 10 years. He found the melanoma on the exam and diligently checks my entire body. He is a warm, caring individual.
I am upset to read about the person who didn't get to get "free advice" on a second person she brought. But I have melanoma and would never bring in another person and ask for that person to be checked unless an appt had been booked.

I also found it ridiculous to read that the doctor "read the slide himself" on another patient. They were probably told he "looked at the report himself" and concurred with what it said. But all specimens get sent out to the appropriate labs - according to your insurance plan.

I wouldn't go to anyone else. I had to once in Florida and all that doctor did (after I told him I have melanoma) was look at my feet!!!!!!!!! If you want careless I could name a 1/5 dozen right off the top of my head in Ocean and Monmouth County BUT Dr. Benjamin Cohen is NOT one of them.

Unless you are the type that enjoys being rushed out of an office in 30 seconds or less, then I would say you will enjoy your visit. Visited the doctor with my 7 yr. old daughter for what I thought was eczema. The doctor barely asked any background questions, looked at my daughter's skin for less than 30 seconds and rushed us out of the office with a script. My son was with us, and he had a recurring small rash that I wanted to ask advice on. I started to tell the doctor that I had not yet booked an appt. but that I would gladly do so....just wanted 10 sec. advise before booking. He SNAPPED! Needless to say, I would never return, and encourage ALL to find another doctor with patience. This doc needs to go back to school not only for manners, but to find another profession. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I walked out shaking, and my seven year old daughter asked me..."why was he so mean mommny?" Is this normal?? I have never written a doc review, but surely felt compelled to do this to advise anyone and everyone to find another doc! STAY AWAY!.
