I am sad to indicate that my friend and colleague Dr. Alexander Schick died last April, as I recall. He was a wonderful human being and doctor. His son, who was in practice with him continues the practice. Dr. Schick is missed by all who were privileged to know him. Mitchell Raps, M.D.

I loved Dr. Schick from the moment I went into his office. I had been to D*O*C*S on E. 34th Street and the doctor I saw there said I needed to see a neurologist, called Dr. Schick and got me an appointment right away for the same day. He diagnosed the shooting pains in my head as Ice Pick migraine (and that is exactly what it feels like). He took my history and when I told him I was a survivor of herpes simplex encephalitis in December of 1995 he became very interested in how he could help me with my residuals from that. He is a very caring doctor who does listen to every patient. That IS why he gets backed-up once in a while. I won't ever stop going to him.
