The OBGYN staff was the best part of the experience. After rescheduling my appointment several times, I finally met with Dr. Steer. He gave me the usual "new patient" line of questions and when I mentioned that I had sent my records to the office about a month ago he was unhappy that his staff made him look "bad" by not having them in the file.

My impression is that he has a God complex. I found he had no sense of humor, was upset when I said that I found him on my insurance website rather than being referred by one of his patients and that I was not planning to have children any time soon. He appears to only want to deliver babies and showed no concern for the other 99% of women's lives when we are not pregnant.

I felt so uncomfortable and so unwelcome that I debated whether to the leave the appointment before the exam. After this initial exam, I never returned to see Dr. Steele again. I opted to go back to NYC to see my old OBGYN for my annual pap.
