My sinus infection and ear pain were promptly addressed and treated. Within days I felt completely better after suffering for almost 2 weeks without relief despite seeing other physicians for this problem. Very happy with my encounter with Dr. Holzberg.

No doubt the worst physician/office experience I’ve ever had. I went to Dr. Holzberg on a Friday based on a family recommendation because I was experiencing extreme nausea and dizziness from an inner-ear issue. It was an emergency situation. The office was like a factory, with patients coming and going. They seemed to have a very large staff. Dr. Holzberg examined me for all of two minutes and then sent me for a lengthy and expensive battery of tests conducted in a separate section of the office, where they happen to have all the equipment. When the tests were complete, I naturally assumed that Dr. Holzberg would review them and discuss my problem with me.

But no, Dr. Holzberg was gone! He had left to see his hospitalized patients, I was told, and would not be back until Tuesday. Again this was Friday at around noon. I pleaded with them to have another doctor look at the results, as I was in extreme discomfort. The office staff was completely apathetic and unapologetic. Finally, they were able to grab a doctor in the hallway who glanced at the results and immediately suggested yet another test, an MRI, without seeing me or discussing anything. I again pleaded for help because I was in so much distress (nausea is just horrible). They had someone prescribe an anti-emetic for the nausea.

I can honestly say I’ve never personally experienced this level of apathy towards a sick patient. Needless to say, I never went back, and would not recommend Dr. Holzberg or his office, Associates in Otolaryngology of NJ, to anyone I know.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered at the office. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me later. This occured when I called back as instructed by the Doctor to get immediate appointment upon my son's health flairups. I was told I could not get in for a few days. When I told them of the dr.'s instruction to come in immediately they told me sorry we have nothing for you for a few days. Hmmm not the right answer. This happened on two seperate occassions.

Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them instead of trying to correct the situation. That's just bad business. They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. It was difficult to find parking at their office. I had to look for a while and was almost late for my appointment. This provider has no helpful information available online, apart from their address and phone number. They just have a basic listings page.

Doctor Normam Holzberg saw me last April when I was suffering from a terrible infection that had me terribly dizzy and nauseas. His office, Associates in Otolaryngology of NJ in West Orange, was nice enough to “squeeze me in” as a result of my parents being patients at the practice. The practice is like a factory of patients.

Dr. Holzberg examined me for all of 30 seconds, then sent me for a battery of tests, given in his office of course, which took about 1.5 hours. I don’t think he said a word to me at all. After the tests were concluded and I went back to the office waiting room area, I was informed that the doctor was now gone for the day. It was 2pm on a Friday. I was told he would not be in until Tuesday and no other doctor was available to see me. They recommended that I get an MRI, which I had to schedule.

Now imagine this: I’m horribly sick, at the offices of Associates in Otolaryngology of NJ, where I went on an emergency basis, and no doctor could see me that day. Not even the doctor I went to, Dr. Holzberg, could see me or provide any test results for another 4 days! Can you imagine what it’s like to suffer that way for 4 days?

After 4 days my wife had to call him repeatedly until he would finally return the call and rudely tell her that “the results showed nothing—have him see a neurologist.”

He is the rudest, most uncaring doctor I’ve ever been to in my 50 years. I then went to see Dr. Reed Lachman in Morristown, who was a caring and compassionate ENT.

I would advise anyone and everyone I care about NOT to go to Associates in Otolaryngology of NJ in West Orange and certainly not Doctor Normam Holzberg.
