Dr. Lim was my pediatrician from when I was a toddler until high school. He saw my brother for an even longer duration than I did. While I was a regular child, my brother got sick often. My mother was always able to call Dr. Lim's office and get an appointment that very day when he fell ill. Dr. Lim was always kind, he had a soothing gentle voice that would calm my brother, who was terrified of everything including the popsicle stick that pressed down on your tongue to see your throat. I've moved away from New York, but if I was still there, I would take my child to see him.

I have taken my two chidlren to Dr. Lim for the last 17 years. He has been wonderful-he calls me at home when needed, does a strep test on the weekends when needed. I couldn't have wished for a better doctor for my children. You do have to ask questions as he tends to be on the quiet side.

No, they've never taken personal calls with me

Not really, they should have made more of an effort

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.

Dr. Lim is an old-fashioned pediatrician who called me twice without my asking him to do so: once with an update for the strep throat culture results and another one with the final result. What pediatrician does that in these days of corporate assembly line profit group practices? His kind and polite wife is his receptionist so it's a real family atmosphere.

My son became sick with hives and a bad sore throat. Other pediatricians wouldn't let me make an appointment right away but Dr. Lim said come on over NOW. Wonderful doctor response, let me tell you. My husband and I have just found ourselves a new pediatrician for our son!
