I am in the process of trying to be listed for a kidney transplant and one of the tests I had to complete was a mole check. The first visit I went to, I was escorted back to the exam room by a pleasant and friendly young woman who asked what my visit was concerning. She took notes and left. Dr. Burkhart came in shortly thereafter. He seemed kind of gruff and hurried. I explained that I needed a full body check of my moles. He had me take my shirt off and looked me over for about 10 seconds. Then he told me that the moles that my transplant doctor wanted him to check looked fine and if I wanted to, I could have them removed. He handed me a paper to read and left the room. When he came back in, I explained that I had dialysis and couldn't get them removed that day. He quickly blurted out a date for an appointment to have them removed and rushed us to the front desk to schedule. I canceled my appointment after reading all the negative reviews but, being pressed for time and needing to get this one last step completed, I rescheduled and went in today to have them removed. He did it quickly (it took all of 5 minutes) and that was it. I asked him a few questions which he answered and I was on my way. He doesn't have the best "bedside manner" as it were, but he's quick.
