Dr Grote is very thorough in his exams. During an annual physical, he detected my heart murmur at the age of 33 and referred me to a very competent Cardiologist. No doctor has ever detected this murmur. It was discovered that I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. 9 years later(2007), after having an Echo-Cardiogram performed annually, it was discovered that I had a 5cm Ascending Aortic Aneurysm. I had the aneurysm removed and an aortic valve replacement done. If it weren't for Dr. Grote, I may not be writing this today on 3/15/12. This is what a thorough exam and proper referral are all about. Dr Grote's office is severely outdated in decor and technology, but it's the quality of service that really matters. His receptionist doesn't have the sunniest personality, but you can get over that, knowing what's really important. You get plenty of time with him at your appointment, as he doesn't get too booked up. It's too bad that I don't live in the West Chester area anymore. Dr Grote is a very good doctor. I'm living proof.
