I was very happy with Dr. Nyquist. He was very thorough and took the time that other psychiatrists have not taken. He is very attentive to my situation and to properly diagnosing me while including me in the process. The staff was wonderful. I cannot say enough good about my first visit.

Please find yourself another doctor. The office is cold and depressing. The staff is hostile and confrontational. The entire focus is getting payment. Every time you arrive for an appointment you have to complete the same paperwork, wait in line to turn it in and then sit down and wait some more for the receptionist to call you up to collect your money. When I changed insurance when I recently married both the receptionist and payment supervisor treated me like I was lying, despite the fact I had paid in full at each visit for over a year. After being treated dismissively by the cold, unfriendly receptionist (who I must add just a young woman with no medical training and has full access personal patient info) I was brought in to an office where I was confronted by two women. They called my insurance company on speaker phone who told them they were still processing the change. The difference between the copay and the full payment was $20. I was told i could not go to my appointment until I paid the full amount. By now I was very upset and mentioned that I had always paid in full, they knew I was recently married and the insurance company had just verified my husbands insurance covered his family. I even called my husband at work to verify things with him. This went on for more then 20 minutes. I then took out my check book and t said I would just write a check for the full amount. I told the payment supervisor I would let Dr Nyquist about how insulting this was. She told me Dr. Nyquist does not get involved in payment issues. When i told her I would speak to him anyway because this was not ok. By now I was in tears. I was at the office for treatment of anxiety and severe depression and was clearly distressed. One of the women left the room and came back with the nurse practitioner I had my appointment with, who was very sympathetic and handled my medicine changes. Two days latter I got a letter signed by the doctor saying that "obviously we had a difference of opinion about appropriate office behavior" and that he would not longer be treating me and all future appointments were cancelled. He never called me to ask me what happened with his staff or see how I was doing. I was stunned given I had done nothing but wait quietly for 20 minutes in the waiting room before being taken to the payment supervisor's office and treated like a lying, crazy person. Kind of funny since this is a psychiatrists office!

Stay away! The Dr. barely listened and prescribed incorrect medication for me. He diagnosed me in 15 minutes and it turned out to be inaccurate. I felt like killing myself and never felt that way before. Multiple calls to the office were not returned by Staff or the Dr.

Very dangerous and unprofessional. Dr. appears to quickly write prescriptions and doesn't take calls with any questions or issues afterwards.
