Dr. Stephen Nyquist stole 19 years of my life!! He took a 10-year diagnosis and 10 years of my prior treatment and threw it out the window. He abruptly took me off of my prescribed drugs and put me solely on benzodiazepines. My body became physically dependent on them over the years and I deteriorated. I lost my family. I lost my business. I lost the respect of my community. He should lose his license!!!

This doctor does not take the time to talk to you or listen to you. Nor does he put any real thought into which medication he gives you. HE. IS. A. DRUG. PUSHER. He only thinks in terms of drugs and doesn't worry if the drug he gives you is causing you more problems. When I told him the antidepressant he put me on had INCREASED my anxiety, without blinking he said I should go on a SECOND medication to lower the anxiety he had created with the first one. He also put me on a medication you should never put someone on who has a binge eating problem, which he didn't screen me for. He gave me no guidance on side effects or what to look for. I put on weight fast, realized it was the meds, but by then it was too late. Six months and 40 lbs. later, the out of control bingeing had stopped but I was stuck with a much bigger problem than my depression. If I had had a proper doctor, something I now know how to recognize, I would never had gained that weight or gone through years of suffering due to that weight. Dr. Nyquist does NOT care about patients.

Dr. Nyquist literally saved my life! He is kind, considerate, listens to how I am feeling and what has happened in my life since last visit.
He is the most knowledgable doctor for how all medications can/will affect me. He is not so quick to be handing out medications as most of my doctors in the past have done. He believes less is better for me and my condition. He talks to me about all side effects and how I feel in general. I don't beat myself up after leaving Dr. Nyquist's office as to why I am still...whatever.
From the moment I walk in the door until I leave his office, all of his personal are kind, considerate, and friendly. He's one doctor I enjoy visiting!

I am very pleased with Dr. Nyquist and the care that I have received over the years. He is a compassionate man who treats me respectfully when I come to him with a problem. He concentrates on my situation and never loses the perspective of the history of my treatment.
His staff reflects his kind nature. They have always been pleasant and have always been helpful and I feel confident that they have my best interest in mind.
I would highly recommend Dr. Nyquist to a friend or anyone else who needs competent quality care.
I feel fortunate that I found him to be my doctor.
