Because of a recent change in insurance, I was forced to go to a different OBGYN. I'm used to going to an OBGYN in a hospital, so that's what I expected when I made this appointment with Dr. Dutton. In actuality, his office is in what appears to be a remodeled little house. I suppose it was clean, but it did have a funky smell and everything was really dingy-looking. Given my fabulous ex-OBGYN, I was more than a little uncomfortable at this place. The receptionists were friendly, and Dr. Dutton himself seemed fairly nice. He did try to talk to me and tell me a couple of stories to make me feel better, but the environment was so uncomfortable that I just couldn't reciprocate very well. During the exam, Dr. Dutton was EXTREMELY rough. I guess he wanted to make sure he swabbed a sufficient amount of cells, but it felt like my insides were on fire, and I came out of the clinic trying not to burst out in uncontrollable sobs because of the pain. I'm not sure he realizes how rough he's being -- since he doesn't have those lady-parts -- but I wouldn't recommend going to him unless you're a pretty tough gal. Although his staff was polite (read: not friendly; just polite), I will never, ever go back to him again.
