Dr. Spann doesn't take the time to speak to his patients in person. I spent maybe 4 minutes in front of him over 5 visits - his assistant did the work, and was mostly focused on typing her report in the computer rather than speaking with me. He did not come out to tell my family how my surgery went when it was done - very poor taste. He may very well be a great surgeon but his people skills are lacking - he doesn't seem to care.
