Simply life changing for our son and us! Dr M is the best!
We had trouble finding someone our son would talk to and now our son can't wait to see him and share his successes at school! We are extremely thankful for helping our son gain his confidence back!

During 12 years of periodic visits, I have found Dr. Missimo always to be a very attentive, professional, & personable psychiatrist and a warm, caring, and non-judgmental individual. He asks questions & pays close attention to my answers. And to my own questions, he gives straight-forward, insightful replies with clarifying examples. He is tactful but as honest as appropriate in answering questions, although the truth, no matter how it is presented, may be difficult for some--especially parents--to hear and accept. Dr. Missimo was very effective with my own children, who saw him individually, connecting well and communicating effectively with them during rough periods in their lives. Based on first-hand experience, I can state that Dr. Missimo is more of the exception in psychiatry; there are quite a few in Dallas who would be better in a different line of work. The waiting area is spacious, and rarely is anyone kept waiting. He has never canceled an appointment. The check-in area is staffed with consistently friendly, pleasant, & helpful personnel. I've never had a problem nor observed anyone else having one. I am beholden to the professional who originally recommended Dr. Missimo to me years ago.

Not at all, they had plenty of staff members to help me whenever I needed assistance

I had my doubts prior to my first appointment to see Dr. Missimo and almost cancelled. My General Practitioner had referred me because I had anxiety to the point I thought I was having heart attacks. I was very impulsive, I couldn't focus or finish a book much less a project and NEVER slept. I didn't want to see a Psychiatrist because I didn't have a "issues" or any valid reason for my anxiety or sleeplessness. My life is pretty perfect which made my symptoms all the more confusing. I realized after my first consultation with Dr. Missimo he is about treating disorders and not so much the "shrink" I had envisioned. Turns out I had all the symptoms for Adult ADHD and needed medication. He was able to prescribe me a medication and informed me it may take a few times before we could get the correct dosage for me. First time the dose was too low, the second time it was too high, and now I'm on the right dosage and feel amazing. My anxiety is gone and I can think and focus. Because I can concentrate I am sleeping very well at night and wake up happy. It's only been a short period that I've been on medication, but my family and friends noticed the difference and like the new me. I can carry on a conversation, I can complete a task and I feel really good in mind, body and spirit.

The visits are short and quick, but to the point. My consultation was probably no longer that 30 minutes and each follow up is probably 15-20. As I referred to before I didn't have anything to talk about so that was the kind of doctor I was looking for. I was a person who had an unknown condition and got the diagnosis I needed to help me live each day to the fullest.

Unfortunately the doctor was a real arrogant a-HOLE.
Nevertheless, their offices was one of the easiest places to locate ever. I found it in minutes. Their entire office was immaculate. It was obvious that they took very good care of it. They were very qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly.
