She is terrible! I took my daughter in for a bad sore throat and ear infection and she was snarky and rude. Spent all of 2 minutes and tested her for strep. When the nurse told us she was negative they offered no advice on what to do to make my daughter feel better.
She is horrible! Took my son in for an eye infection, she came in looked in his ears using an instrument. Kept talking about her 16 year old son all the time, after 2 minutes she just opened the door and said "He has an infection, stay away and wash your hands" and then left abruptly without even taking her instruments. I sat there thinking she will come back , but after 10 minutes I found her perched on a chair chit chatting with someone. What happened to good old bedside manners? I am paying and not expecting charity lady. Would never go back to her >:(
Dr. Evans had been my doctor for my whole childhood, birth to adulthood. There was trouble finding a suitable GP after the traditional 18 years, but as I had been a regular patient they still took me in two years after.
I have never had any problem with her. The practice is popular so I'll admit that accessibility and punctuality aren't the best due to this; however, there are plenty of great nurse practicioners to allow children to be seen the next day. For physicals, you truly have to plan ahead, but that shouldn't be news to anyone who's ever been to any kind of doctor.
What I love best is that she tries her best to get to know her patients. I hadn't been able o have her for my past two physicals a couple of years ago, and even though two years had past she still knew my interests, my future path, and even offered assistance in preparing for medical school.
I have had few, if any, problems with her care. Yes, some doctors make mistakes, but after twenty years of care I'm convinced that she has a great track record.
My daughter was diagnosed at birth with Ehlers-Danlos. She is not able to walk very well due to severe dislocations of her knees. She is overweight, due to her inability to get enough exercise; becuase she can't walk or stand very well. She has had numerous other health issues over the years, but when she was 14, she became ill with fever and other symptoms, and they never subsided. In searching for answers, we ended up at Dr. Evans practice, to see if she could help. Just looking at my daughter, she decided it was her weight that was making her ill, and that that was probably the reason for her knee problem as well. (daughter was of normal weight for years, and became over weight due to her leg problems.) And being overweight cannot cause a fever, nor the other symptoms we approached the doctor with. Will never see this doctor again. Too judgemental without knowing her facts. Went on to find doctors that DID help, and got diagnosed with the current health issues.
