The office is a sweat shop. Despite the long wait, she's still accepting new patients. She is the only doctor on site with 3 assistance. The first and only time I met her was during the first visit. All subsequent visits were with her nurses..etc.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tirado's since I was a teenager. Well into my mid twenties now, I could estimate at least a ~10 year relationship with this office. Today marks the end of it. Simply put, it is TOO bureaucratic and desperate for $.

Here's my experience:

I received a phone call today regarding test results. I was a bit taken back by the notice, so I made an appointment without thinking of my unavailability. I am taking a trip out of the country to visit a dying relative. I called the office and spoke with Tina, the office manager, to discuss my results. I explained the situation to her and added in that I did not want to wait nearly 2 weeks to discuss my results. I have received MANY other test results over the phone. I told Tina that I refused to come in 2 weeks later and definitely did not want to pay the copay for results that could simply be discussed on the phone.

Tina tried to reschedule my appointment- for a date two weeks later which I mentioned was not helpful being that I would be out of the country and found it outlandish to wait 2 NERVE-racking weeks to find out what the results were. I don't even know if they were abnormal or not.

What did Tina have to say?

" I will not violate this office's policies for YOU as it is our standard practice" in a particularly catty tone. I completely understand what standard practice is, but I ALSO know that is not a violation of HIPAA to give me my results via phone call. This office is just money hungry. Shame.

I repeated that I knew this. I also informed her that she should know this is not how you retain patients as noted by ALL of these negative reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. What did Tina say? "I hope you know this conversation is being recorded".

Cool. It SHOULD be recorded to reveal the lack of customer service you provided. You do realize you are a business, right? Anyway, I left a review here a year or so ago detailing one of MANY horrible experiences at this doctor's office, but erased it because I felt bad for Dr. Tirado's office's reputation. However, the continuous hiring of rude staff is pure negligence. I can't wait to find a new provider & receive better service. Dr. Tirado might be polite and efficient when you are in her office, but the waiting room procedures, the staff, and the "standard practices" at this office are bogus.

Disclaimer: I only gave 1 star as I had to, to leave this review.

Warning: If you enjoy waiting around an hour and a half, being spoken to rudely by office staff (including Tina the Office Manager), and basically being robbed by "follow up" visits that are futile, this is your place.

I have been going to Dr. Tirado, since she began her practice in Vienna, and have been very happy with her. I can't say the same for her staff and the wait time. The entire atmosphere has much to be desired and the staff is often rude ...act as though you are putting them out. All too many times I have asked a question only to get an abrupt nasty answer. Not at all helpful! Dr. Tirado is a good doctor but not a good manager of people or they would not act in such a manner. Always make your appointments as close to opening or closing as possible or you might wait 1.5 or more hours.

I had a very bad experience with this office and I will never go back.
I had some billing question since they were charging me for a service I did not ask for. It is more than a month later and after I made at least 5 or 6 calls. Each time I call I am asked to leave a message because they claim the person who could help is not there or is busy. Finally, I go there and I ask to talk to the billing person. Initially, I get delayed, I am told that the person is out for lunch until 1.30pm. I wait until the 1:35pm and I ask again and they tell me that the person is busy and can’t help. I demand to talk to somebody and the receptionist says nobody is available and I need to come back later or wait. I insist that I want to see any manager and finally somebody shows up. I explain him the reasons for which I do not believe I should be charged and he agrees that I did not ask for that service but still since they have provided to me with the service I am supposed to pay it.
If you do not want to have similar experiences just don’t go there.
