This review may seem, or come off as, childish to some. However, I'm merely composing this in order to inform other people of things which I wish I had been informed of prior to ever seeing this doctor for my orthopedic issue[s] I was having. Not only is the front of his office completely rude, but they are misinforming people all together of their appointments, payments needed at the end of your session, and information in charts are not clearly correct. This, could quite easily effect the potential well being of a patient, as far as I'm concerned. Not only this, but I feel potential AND current patients should also take into consideration the following:

1. Dr. Brown is a man of very few words. This comes off as VERY impersonable, in my opinion. He doesn't want to sit down with you and explore other options other than just surgery to look into the issue.

2. Dr. Brown has a Physician's Assistant who assists him with his care for patients, who will tell you the complete opposite of what the doctor tells you minutes before, giving you a boost of reassurance that everything will be fine without having to endure surgery.

3. Dr. Brown told my husband and I that the MRI report that he had gotten back from the hospital stated that my MRI was not completed due to me being chlostraphobic. [sp?] This was his soul reason[s] for wanting to go ahead with surgery to find out what the MRI I had done did not show. I called the hospital the next day inquiring why the report said "my MRI was not complete" and it was then that the actual Radiologist who read my MRI films stated to me that he had no idea what I was talking about. The MRI I had done at the hospital WAS, indeed completed and advised me to seek another doctor out if this is what was being stated to me by Dr. Brown.

4. If you are in pain, it doesn't matter to this doctor. If your Primary Care Physician refers you to Pain Management, which mine did, this doctor will ignore this order. They tell you to your face as well as over the phone, that in order to get into pain management, you need a referral/order from your regular physician to do so. My doctor typed and faxed this letter, and this order was ignored by Dr. Brown.

There are a few other things I could say, but they would merely be hearsay on my part, a simple opinion. The above stated notions are FACT. The above mentioned things actually happened to me. Not only were my issues of extreme pain ignored, but I also almost lost my job because of this, not being able to obtain medicine to control it, even though it was ordered by my doctor. I think the worse part of seeking medical assistance from this doctor, was when I was told by his assistant that Dr. Brown informed her that if my pain persists before my next appointment [which was well over 4 weeks away] that I needed to go to the ER.

Has anyone else EVER, in their entire life, heard of a doctor referring you to the Emergency Room for care that they're giving to you?
