Before my first appointment with her, Dr. Trefzger requested extensive, detailed, and complicated reports from many different doctors dating back at least 12 years. This took a lot of time and persistence on the part of many people to acquire. She purposefully didn't read any of this information until she met me, and I doubt she's read much of it in the year I've been seeing her. She listens to what I say and has greatly improved my medications, which requires extreme care on her part to avoid fatal interactions or cancelling effects, so until a few months ago, I was thrilled to have a convenient and satisfactory psychiatrist. On at least two occasions, however, she has outright refused to give her medical opinion on when I need to take each medication and when it is too dangerous to do so. One of the best psychiatrists in the country found room for me in his packed schedule, and while he is over a thousand miles away, I am sorely tempted to ask him for phone sessions, as he has known me for over ten years. I find it highly unethical for any doctor to withhold literally vital information from any client, and while I have been able to extract most of the information I need, I am not going to spend another upsetting session fighting with my doctor when I have much better, if inconvenient, help elsewhere.

She is a caring and kind doctor and she always remembers my child and her situation at every appointment. We were very comfortable the entire time. She is completely committed to helping her for as long as it takes to find the best solution. Her staff is friendly and warm. We are thankful to have found Dr. Trefzger.
