IME: Dr Friedman had an hour to do the psy exam for WA ST L&I. They give these IME doctors one hour to do the exam, complete the chart and dictate his report. Wanted to end the psy exam at 1/2 hour.

He used as stressors a divorce from 28 years ago, Hostilty towards the department of L&I, financial concerns. My theripist that I pay for now told me the 28 year old divorce was laughable. Hostility toward the departnent of L&I was also a joke. I would be abnormal it I didn't have hostility toward a corrupt insurance company. They use Dr Friedman to try and close out your claim and don't care. In fact no one cares and I know because I have been to the Governor's Gregoire's office on down. It's no ones job to stop what comes on behind a closed door. You are not allowed to have a witness or tape record your own IME, So like sheep to slaughter we go. One by one. When Dr Friedman couldn't give me any idea about a diagnosis at the end of the IME I told him what this was and he blew it off. He had to, as to add it would mean that L&I would have had to accept full responsibility for the "problem"
Do you remember what I told you it was Dr Friedman? That's why you omitted the nightmares and other information that was documented in my claim by four other people including the Assistant Medical Director for WA ST L&I.
Read other reviews from other websites and you will see that someone named francis and one other person give him 3-4 stars and note that these reviews come after a bad one. I believe this person is a shill.

I showed up on time for my appointment, and then Dr Friedman was later and stated I was late. Does IME's for many didffernent companies. I taped recorded the IME and now need to find a way to get the tape admitted into court. My recording doesn't match DR Friedmans report at all. He had his own agenda to follow. Kept repeating himself with "somethings not right here". "I'm going to have to go through you records". "This is more than I would expect." "Your a different person now Right?" "How are your thoughts these days are they normal for you or are you having racing thoughts?" Always leading with suggestive questions. Telling you how you feel. Interupts when you go where he doesn't want to go. Takes what he wants from other reports and leaves out what doesn't suit his agenda. I was told by a vocationa councilor that the last thing I wanted was and IME from an L&I doctor. I have found three other people with basically the same report and will find more and then he will be in for a big suprise. You can't have a witness or record your own psy exam and then Dr Friedman can't give you any idea for a diagnosis, but he sure has one for L&I. One that when you read it makes you want open a vain. Sick Sick. It's all about the money. Same buzz words. Likes the word agitated and then will try and get you to agree with him. Pretends he doesn't know your claim, but knows it cover to cover. This needs to stop and L&I will do nothing about it. My doctor disagreed with his report. These are set up for 1/2 appts. They made sure every question I had was answered thoroughly, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Not only did I find a parking spot right away, but I knew my car was safe because the spots were designated and close to the entrance. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan.

I am looking for other victims of Dr Friedman who have had IMEs with him. These are set up by claims managers with Exam Works and Dr Friedman is their Star Player. I have other people who Dr Friedman has assassinated also. Let's use this web site to end fraudulent IME's. From other posting on another site “this man lied on court documents that I had said something I never would of said because #1 i am not from Seattle. He is not on your side..” I AGREE WHOEVER YOU ARE. He is bought and paid for before your butt hit’s the chair.
Dr Friedman does Independent Medical Exams for L&I. He contracts thru Exam Works. At my exam with Dr Friedman he was not on time and then said that I arrived on time for my appt and then went out to my car so we started late. Dr Friedman flew from SEA TAC to Pasco WA. Dr Friedman couldn’t give me any idea for a diagnosis before I left, but sure came back with one. He took from other dr’s reports, left out their recommendations. Changed their wording around to suit his needs. Stated that I drank because I just because I like the taste of it, When in fact I don’t drink. Said that “just as records does not demonstrate a psychotic focus. None the less the claimant’s presentation today suggests that the claimant is bordering into a psychotic field.” Tended to be verbose and tangential or was evasive in response. Related to an underlying personality disorder. Although I had never presented my self to anyone else this way, that I presented myself to him as a woman out of control. Also had hypomania, couldn’t get a cognitive history as I went off on tangents, and a host of other lies and then stated none of it was from the job of injury. Dr Friedman tried to lead the exam with leading questions like “Let me ask you something - how’s your thinking these days? Is it for you normal or do you feel you’re having racing thoughts? (Here he is leading me with a choice of normal or racing thoughts)YES, SOMETHING ELSE IS GOING ON HERE. I ASKED WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD BE? HE SAID “I DON’T KNOW” My occupational Dr disagreed with him. My doctor stated many, many times that the depression & anxiety were from the job of injury & not a preexisting condition, sleep deprivation, pain and dealing with L&I. That’s right depression & anxiety diagnosed from an ER doctor, my occupational doctor that I first saw in 02/08, two dr’s of psychology and Dr Friedman just tossed it all out and said I had a preexisting personality disorder. This is a man who can sit across the table from you, look you in the eye and then submit a fraudulent report. The anxiety, despair and hopelessness that Dr Friedman’s report has caused me is beyond imagination. No one is allowed in the room for the exam, you can’t tape record it either. I did tape his exam and when I saw his report even told my claims manager. It’s illegal to tape your own IME. We don’t even have the right to protect ourselves from a predator. Dr Friedman is well know to lawyers that represent L&I “victims” (he is referred by lawyers and dr’s as Exam Works STAR player) as we have to hire an attorney and pay out of pocket to defend ourselves against doctors like Friedman.

I sent to L&I my diagnosis of Dr Friedman: Dr. Friedman seemed confused as he kept repeating himself over and over w/different phases. He kept interrupting me. He couldn’t seem to say focused. He kept repeating himself with “SOMETHING’S NOT RIGHT HERE,” “I NEED TO GO THROUGH YOUR RECORDS.” “YOU FELT AGITATED. “ “WHAT WAS WRONG WITH YOU?” “But something else is going on.” “You’re a different person now“. “BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT, THIS IS DIFFERENT” “YES, SOMETHING ELSE IS GOING ON HERE“. This is all a change for you. You’re a different person than you used to be right? Irritable, chronically angry. I am looking for other victims of Dr Friedman who have had IMEs with him. These are set up by claims managers with Exam Works. I have other people who Dr Friedman has assassinated also.
