This doctor has been the best doctor by far.I have seen many.Dr Hickey was the only one who was able to get me un depressed. One of the most compassionate doctors around. Very knowable on medication.

Dr. Hickey is great! I've struggled with depression my whole life. She was able to show me how some of my thinking and behaviors contributed to my problems and we were able to find a medication regimen that works for me. She is candid and a good listener. As some of these whiners have pointed out- she doesn't just give you a shoulder to cry on and whatever meds YOU think you need. If you're honest and willing to work on yourself, you will find her very helpful. I know I have!

Needs to retire! She has no empathy for those who truly suffer with mental issues! Is not up on the latest most up to date information and does not treat with a standard of care that you need to expect from someone who's life can depend on intervention and understanding of the correct problem, the needed medication or therapy. Does not listen carefully and may even have ALZHIEMERS because I can see no other good explanation for her failing to recall just how badly our son was actually doing. She blames PARENTS for their childs issues most likely because this takes the blame and accountability off of herself when she fails to treat properly.
If you choose to still use Dr. Hickey even after reading her poor reviews, you will deeply regret this. Even Satan himself has supporters, so just because she has a few good reports does not mean she is a valuable top notch Dr. In fact her failure to treat properly can mean the matter of life or death when you are dealing with a Suicidal/Depressed child. My son never felt comfortable with her and I truly know why now. She is missing something every person, especially a Dr. needs to have and that is a HEART!

My main objective was to intervene in my son's life and find out if there was an underlying problem related to his behavior. She totally missed the point and offered no help. She second guessed our motives for being there. My son turned 18 and now my hands are tied in many ways. He has recently been homeless and has called an ambulance once for what ended up being a panic attack and has been to the ER twice. She totally did not relate his substance abuse to a possible underlying cause and try to help. Her bedside manner is very detached and poor.

I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. It wasn’t difficult to get an appointment with them at all. It was nice to be able to get in right away.
I've been a patient of Dr. Hickey for 6yrs or better dealing w/ depression. I haven't had any major episodes w/ depressions since I've been on the right meds which she got me going on quickly. She is insightful, intelligent, understanding, has good advice, and is up-to-date on the lasted medications. She is curtious, polite, and freindly as is her staff. They call a couple days before your appt as a reminder. I've been late on fees a few times out of neglect on my part and they rebill me w/o any hassels. I see her about once every 3-4 months for refills. I'd recommend her to anybody. I'd rate her and her services above 5 stars.

She is dry, very cold, don't have compassion, and I am not sure if she should a doctor at all. What a waste of money and most of all, didn't receive good care. Will never see her again
