You see him on the first visit. Then a NP sees you every 2 months.

What bothers me the most is how people want drugs off the street, then criticize the doctors who go beyond protocol to follow strict preventative measures in doing his part.

I understand more than anyone that living with chronic pain is beyond horrible. The feeling of hopelessness, panic, despair; it's all torture. Nothing about life is enjoyable or tolerable. Not only is your own life affected, but every single person around you.

I've been going to Dr Mike for a few years after massive amounts of surgeries and life altering disabilities. He has helped me beyond measure. He has sent me to right specialists, he doesn't administer or request repeated, unneeded tests, he spots problems that other money bag doctors don't notice or care to notice, and takes the time to get to know you and your health issues. My parents went to him, my neighbor and a good friend. He has helped all of them, and when he spotted a problem with my father, he was honest enough to not play games and sent him to someone who could.

Look, if you go to Dr. Mike for WHATEVER REASON, remember he is a pain management specialist who writes prescriptions for narcotics. Be prepared to give urine samples for every visit, get called in for unexpected pill counts, pharmacy checks, and urine tests. He also follows no-nonsense strict office policies, will work with your other doctors and won't fall for excuses or lame, superficial health problems.

If you are legitimate and follow doctors orders, you will be as thankful as I am. Otherwise the other hand, if you have a problem with these measures, go find an addict or dealer and thank him.

Not very happy......not only do u have long waits to see a nurse practicer and to be drug tested every time u go in. One would think after years of service they would know the ones that are following the rules but they gouge anyway. I can count on one hand how many times I have seen the Dr in the 6 years I have been going there

My husband and daughter were in a car accident and were referred to Dr. Shramowiat. They had to wait over 5 weeks to even get in to see him. Upon arriving for the appointment, I was told that my minor daughter needed a photo i.d. (after I was told on the phone the day before that it was okay that she didn't have a photo i.d.) Then, after filling out the paperwork that seemed like a novel, my daughter was called back only to be given a cup and told to pee in it. She stated that she didn't have to go, and they said that they needed it and if they have to wait all day, they will. My daughter attempted to fill it to the line, after many tears and frustration, and they told her that it wasn't enough. I then questioned why they needed a urine specimen from a 13 year old child, and they told me that it was the law, that every patient has to do a urine test and to expect to do it every visit. What?! They promptly gave my daughter a cup of water and told her that she needed to drink it so that she can provide another sample. They also gave her this huge white plastic thing to put on the toilet seat to make it easier for her to collect her urine. Oh, I forgot to mention that you have to parade your urine sample through the waiting room to get from the bathroom back to the examining rooms. While my daughter was sitting there, drinking her water, and I was telling my husband what was going on, the woman came out and rudely told my daughter that the sample that she previously provided will do. Then, it was my husband's turn and he went back there. He questioned the reason for a urine sample, was told the same thing as I was, and he promptly told him that it violated his 4th Amendment rights. He asked to see a copy of this law, and they couldn't provide a copy. The doctor came in and told my husband that maybe he should go elsewhere. So, we left.

Upon arriving at home, I searched online to see if this was really a law, and couldn't find anything!! Also, nothing is posted anywhere in their office that this is a law and that a urine sample is required.

I was sent to Dr Shramowiat for unrelenting back pain that my family doctor could not fix. Saw a neurosurgeon who immediately wanted to operate on me and told me I would be paralized if I did not have back surgery immediately. Much to my surprise Dr. Shramowiat found I had renal cell cancer and sent me to OSU cancer center. Had I not gone there I would have been dead. My other doctors failed to find my problem.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. 300.00 bucks for first visit upfront and in cash, fill out a book agreeing only to see this Dr. Mike, everything there is geared for drug seekers, so in turn thats what you are automatically made to feel like, went back to see the doctor only to be told I had to take drug test first, on top of that I was going to be billed seperately for urine test that Dr. mike insists you have before he will see you. Anything he does to you after the initial 300 is also an extra charge. Talk about greedy, you had better have insurance if you go here cause someone who doesnt cant afford even the first visit. I have a primary care Dr. that will prescribe me any pain meds I need, went to this asshole for another otion besides pain meds, only wanted my mri reviewed and give alternatives to pain meds, but most of whom they deal with are apparently junkies so they make evryone to feel like one. I wouldnt recommend this greedy Doctor to anyone, still wondering what the initial charge of 300 dollars cash was even for? I guess the priviledge of meeting his highness, this may not effect someone on the govt dole or those with good insurance but an honest hardworking man as myself it really effects. Shove your policies where the son dont shine there Dr. Mike

and follow this guys rules or

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. The only question I had was regarding the epidural no information was given to me. Dr. Shramowiat is continuosly continueing his education to offer more to the patients.
