Blakehurst a lovely retirement community. It's very beautifully decorated. Everything, like the furniture, is very lovely visually when you walk in. The people are very pleasant and welcoming. The food was good, I've eaten there twice. The apartment that I have on hold is spacious and very nice. They provide all of the services.

I was surprised how easy it was for my parents to move to Blakehurst. We looked all over central Baltimore County and Blakehurst was the best choice, most affordable and met all of our expectations. My parents are so busy with exercise, classes, entertainment and clubs that we hardly find them in their apartment home. It was easy to pick an apartment as they have so many good choices to offer. All of my parents furniture fit just perfect! Would highly recommend you check out their website and see for yourself!

Blakehurst is an outstanding place to live and provides all the services anyone would ever need. Management does a great job of listening to resident needs. Really appreciate everything they do for my mother.

My mother spent the last 9 years of her life at Blakehurst Retirement Community; beginning in Independent living moving through all stages of the center as her abilities aged. She was always treated with dignity and encouraged to participate in the many varied activities available within the facility. I feel that she was cared for by a staff that not only looked after her physical needs, but her emotional and mental needs as well. She felt blessed to feel safe and we both appreciated the many people she came in contact with daily from the housekeepers to the nurses - all were very helpful and understanding of her needs - and mine!

Blakehurst showed genuine interest in my father's specific needs. We visited this community a few weeks ago. It's the best community in the Towson area that we live in. The director was very interested in my father's specific needs and was very humble in explaining in what they could actually provide. It was refreshing with the honesty.

We looked at a number of other places around town and found out that Blakehurst was a really good buy in terms of monthly costs. We really think that Blakehurst is a fantastic choice because you have so many things going for you that you don’t get somewhere else....We live in a community that’s nicely maintained, and we can see ourselves spending the remaining years that we have being real happy here with what we have.

We picked Blakehurst for mom and could not be happier. She adjusted real well and made alot of friends here like a kid in school. It was tough at first for my brothers and sisters to make this decision but after a few months of doing the back and forth of taking care of the house and our own familys it was really evident that we had to do something. We saw a few of the other places in town, including another one in the Towson area, and Blakehurst beats it hands down. Everyone here is friendly and smiling and helps you no matter what you need.
Mom had to have a hip fixed and she went to the nursing side when she left the hospital and they knew who she was and they were ready to take care of her. Those therapists were great. They made sure she was good to go. I don't know who worked who harder, mom or the therapist.
We eat with mom sometimes and the food is really good. You would want to eat here that is how good it is.
She loves it here and we are thrilled. It has been a blessing to have all the care that she needs right here.
Oh and she loves the beautiful grounds at Blakehurst as well!

Blakehurst has been our home for several years and we are thankful we’ve made our home here. The friendships with other residents, both old and new, and the proximity to everything have been enriching experiences. We continue to be enormously impressed by the caring helpfulness shown to us by the staff at Blakehurst. And, of course, one of the unseen but very valuable benefits of moving to Blakehurst is that it is a gift to one’s children. Now, they need not worry about the welfare of their parents! Altogether, a wise move.
