I highly recommend Clark House Nursing Center at Fox Hill. I had a total knee replacement and had to spend 10 days in their care. Everyone from the nurses and aides to the food and activities staff was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and very friendly. The therapists worked with me every day and got me back on my feet and ready to come home.

I highly recommend the Clark House! I lived at the nursing facility for 2 months recovering from a serious fall that included a broken right foot which required extensive surgery, severely sprained left foot and 2 broken ribs. I also was undergoing radiation for breast cancer which required me to be transported daily to a nearby hospital. The Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, the Nursing staff as well as the Activities and Administrative staff is by far the most caring and dedicated people. They treat each patient/resident with dignity, kindness and always had smiling faces! Wonderful Activities in the morning and afternoon.

Thought all aspects of care were very good. The nursing staff and aids were great and very friendly and competent. PT and OT were exceptional. They had just the right demeanor and really knew how to get me to respond quickly. They put restrictions in place where necessary and removed them immediately when they saw my progress.

Only drawback was a little white pooch who ran down the hallway unleashed on my very first venture outside my room on an unrestricted basis. I quickly got myself against the wall to let it pass. Once I notified the appropriate people, the situation was remedied and the individuals who owned the dog where told of the restrictions.

Food was great and the head of the food service was wonderful, accomodating, instructive and all around just the right person for the job. Needless to say the quality of food and portions were perfect for me and certainly sped my recovery along.

People from Newton Wellesley while not having the best job: ie: drawing blood were great and efficient.

I also want to thank the wonderful Serrvices coordinator who made it possible for me to go home for my birthday.

Other than that one glitch my stay at Clark House was superior.
