I moved my mother from this facility when it became apparent that she was not safe there. There were a few of the physical and occupational therapists that were kind and helpful but many were gruff and bullying. The CNA's were abysmal. One example is that my mother, who is a fall risk, was taken to the bathroom by a CNA but left there by herself.. She had to get herself into her wheelchair and out of the bathroom without assistance. There was no security and visitors could come and go at will until 10 pm, when the doors would be locked. The food and activities were poor.

I went to Green Valley after a femur fracture. The rehab staff was great. I was seen by a physical therapist for an assessment then seen twice daily by a physical therapy assistant and once per day by a occupational therapy assistant. My concern with this facility was their knowledge and attention to pain. I was discharged from the hospital promptly but still had a significant amount of pain. The Green Valley staff did not understand as needed pain medication orders and withheld pain medication which was ordered. They also were not attentive to requests for non-medicinal help with pain such as positioning and icing.

Some of the staff are downright sloppy and unhygienic. Food is terrible. average time for staff to answer call button is twenty minutes. Mom hated the weeks spent there.

If you're looking for a dependable and trustworthy nursing home, look no further. I would recommend them to anyone I know. I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. It was nice to be acknowledged. I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. I'll definitely be going back. I didn't have a bad experience.

They were so kind and attentive to me and my mother when she first went there for rehab and then to live long term. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities. I'm very happy with all the care providers at Green Valley and my mother likes all the people whom she recieves help from on a daily basis.
