With just a little sprucing up gulf health care would be so much more appealing to perspective families ! What's with the small dirty fish tank! Surely the owners can afford a bigger fish tank and a bird Avery to go in front area. Can you imagine how much pleasure that would bring to your clients.s What's with the awful furniture in your client's room. Why not clean them up and restain them. Then you might have a WAITING LIST LIKE ONE OF YOUR COMPETIORS. THe food seems to need a little imagination once in a while.
. What I have seen and noticed is that your staff interacts with your clients extremely well and that the clients interact with the staff like wise. I have visited several other homes and HAVE NOT SEEN THIS. THIS WAS THE DECIDING FACTOR IN PUTTING MY MOM AT YOUR CARE CENTER. Most of your staff seem to be genuinely concerned about their clients. Activities: 1st you have a really great activities director, why not offer music from the 40's 50's. The kind of music most of your clients grew up with. Old movies from that time. Do you ever have pet days (therapy dogs & or cats) just for people to reconnect with someone or something that brings them pleasure. Do children come from schools to just sit and visit with your clients. What joy this would bring. How often do choirs or singers come for listening pleasures. NOW: do you offer incentives to your staff? Why not recognize the staff member who goes above and beyond their job duties. Seems like if the staff is happy everyone is happy.

I would rate Gulf Health Care a 4+ on staff interactions with clients. Caring physically for your clients I would rate staff a 4. Interaction on following through with privacy for your clients in and out of their rooms 4+ ....food I would rate 3+. It could be improved. Looks of the care center itself I would rate a 3+. The outside porch needs to be cleaned up. Why is there a garbage can right at the front door? Looks terrible there. Rate it a 2+. This is the first thing a family sees when they are looking to put a loved one in a nursing home. It should be something the owner should be proud of!! Overall I would rate your care center a 4-.!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, to much to say but if you love your loved one please don't put them in this place. I cannot think one of good staff member that is good. I'm looking to take legal action if that tells you anything. I called the state in and they found things but nothing was done other than avoiding me now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

No, If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone.

Horrible care for the elderly. Basically, they forget to give the medications. She went into seizures Lazy & disreputable nurses. I got my Mother out of there!! They are all about covering their butts.
