My family was referred by one of Leewood's representatives. This gentleman's presentation was encouraging. Upon arriving, the front desk staff was helpful. The intake person has a delightful personality, however, as my mother approached her room, things went downhill. While in the room. I noticed the phone was out of reach. My mother wanted to get out of the wheelchair into bed, but had no gown. I had to ask twice as it seemed I was annoying them. When leaving, I approached the staff's work station to ask the phone number to the room, visiting times, etc., but the young lady jumped up, grabbed her things and asked another staff member to help me.. This was actually the third time I was referred to someone else for assistance.

I just spoke with my mother this AM. When I asked about her experience through the night, she said they woke her up late last night to weigh her?? This was most likely done because it wasn't completed during admission. My Mothers' words " I want to get out of here! " One good thing came from this one night stay. It forced my mother's determination to gain strength to leave.

I'm sure they're good people. I believe they could use refresher courses or workshops to reiterate the importance of maintaining focus while working in this type of environment. Maybe for some, it's just a job..

At this point, I wouldn't refer anyone to this facility.

My mother was treated terribly. Very neglected, and she's elderly and immobile. She spent hours on end in bed, and her depression increased. Food was most unappealing. Phone too far from her bed for her to reach. When we tried to get her transferred to a better place, the doctor was slow and unresponsive. He returned none of my calls. The nurses are entirely clueless and cannot communicate well. 'I don't know' was the answer I received to most of my questions. upper management is good but they seem overworked and underpaid.. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. The pt guy bill was very kind and enthusiastic, but he only had orders to work with my mother once a day five days a week. That wasn't enough pt to get her strength back. Especially when she could only do ten min work before she tired out and got sent back to bed. Their equipment was just average.

I am Mr. Reedy's Health Advocate and needed to take him out during the day to complete some business. The staff had him ready to go and were very understanding of the situation. Mr Reedy said he was very pleased with the medical attention he has thusfar recieved.

The equipment at this nursing home was current and safe and I knew that my loved one would be receiving the highest quality of care. They were very qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while. I've been places before where they were argumentative and angry, so I was nervous that I would encounter that here as well. Instead, they were very calm and understanding the entire time. I could tell they really care about everyone who visits them. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen.
