My father has had Alzheimer and got pneumonia, after being in the hospital for 4 days, his doctor strongly suggested that we transfer him to Leisure Glen nursing home for 3-4 weeks for his lungs to get better before going home. If I want to describe Leisure Glen in one small sentence, I have to say that IT IS A HORRIBLE PLACE. The building is old, the rooms are small, walls have water damages and the paint is peeling in many areas, the furniture is ancient and broken down and much more important than that, THE STAFF DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS. The right hand doesn’t know anything about the left hand, when you see your loved one injured with wounds, cuts, bruises or fractured and broken bones, no one takes any responsibility, nobody knows what happened, no one can give you a straight answer and when you are told “we will investigate” that usually means forget about it. No one ever gets any phone messages you leave. If your call is transferred, the operator never ensures that someone actually answered the phone or that you are not disconnect, so each time you call, it may take 3 or 4 calls to finally talk to someone. The MVLs check the medication list once and repeat everything after that, so if any medication is changed, added or eliminated, the old routine will continue until a family member finds out and brings the change to their attention. The evening MVLs try to give all the medications early and even during dinner time, so they can go sit at their desk for the rest of the evening, eat their dinner and read her magazine until they go home. The nurses are the worst; one word CARELESS, they absolutely DO NOT care about the patients. This is just a “job” for them; they are there to kill their 8 hours and go home; they are not there to provide care. Their best solution is to drug everyone and have them sleep 24/7, so they won’t be bothered or asked to move from their chair. Some nurses are very rude and unfriendly. In the entire facility, there is “maybe” two CNA that gives a little care and the rest hate their jobs, so they stand in the hallways and chat or take breaks instead of helping patients. The patients ring their bell or beg and scream for help and you can see the CNA is standing there chatting and doesn’t pay any attention. You can leave notes, ask for something specific, talk to so many of them and repeat your request and leave more notes and ask again and again and it won’t happen; no one will remember to do it. THEY JUST DON’T CARE. We were shocked that Dr. Karakashian spoke so highly of the place!! Well, guess what, he is the Medical Director of Leisure Glen (talk about a conflict of interest).

It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time.

Absolutely not! I constantly have to repeat and re-explain my situation!

Definitely not. They were unaware of my situation, even though they had my information

It's shocking how little they seem to care about customer service. From my experience It appears as if customers are never put first here. The staff is incredibly rude and seem to care more about themselves. The one thing I couldn't believe during my appointment was that they took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude. Every time I've called and left a message, I've never heard back. It's extremely annoying.
