Was apprehensive about the facility based on reviews however a visit showed a clean facility with good amenities. My mom came here for what we hoped would be rehab in Spring 2017. She deteriorated though (not due to Lexington staff efforts) and died after two weeks though. She had spouse or other family present 24/7 during her stay so we had a very good opportunity to judge care quality.
Staff were generally compassionate (with few exceptions) but overworked. Nurses were pretty good (Ryan quietly competent) but doctors/PA's not present enough. Many of the nurses aides could use more training and communication across shifts had some clear gaps. The therapists (physical, occupational, speech) who came by to help my Mom were uniformly excellent - skilled and caring, Special shout out to Kelly who joined in the last week who came back to check on us even when she'd already helped for an hour earlier in the day.
We hope never to be back, but if I needed care for a relative we would return. Had a two person room the first week and Mom's room mate roommate was quite vocal that Lexington was far superior to other facilities she had stayed at.

My sister is in Lexington of Lagrange. I can't call her or talk to her because they won't provide her with a working phone. She has no local family and is terminal. It can't be good for her to be isolated from her
family at this time but no one on the staff will even check her phone. Most of the time no one answers if you call the front desk. I think this is one of those places that's terribly understaffed and most of the money goes to the family that owns it not for the patients welfare.

This place is toxic. My 2nd review and this one tops the first. This time my elderly friend went in. She had surgery just days before going into Lexington. At Lexington, they jerked her so hard that she was in excruciating pain. So we asked that she be given additional meds until the pain subsided. They had her on so many meds that she was hallucinating. We demanded she be taken off the meds. Then she had to go back to the hospital because Lexington's care set her so far back. The hospital nursing staff said she had indentations from her bed pan. Lexington had her bed pan under her the whole time. She was extremely dehydrated on top of it. The doctor at Lexington told family that they should DNR her and look at the bigger picture--ARE YOU KIDDING ME--what doctor says that? The hospital social services is reporting Lexington.
Their doors should be closed!!!

Lexington of Lagrange is terrible. They pretend they care but they don't. The therapist say they want to help you walk but it's a lie, all this place cares about is taking your money than kicking you out the door. The social workers are terrible, they don't do there jobs at all. We thought we were making the right choice sending our brother there. Two months and therapy did nothing for him. Don't take your loved one there find a better place.

If your doctor is steering you to this hell hole, fire the doctor and run the other way. So bad, so thoughtless and so useless. I wouldnt put a dog in this place. I will say the therapists are good, but if you are sick, incontinent or need hands on care go somewhere else. They just dont care and dont have enough people.

I've never seen a nursing home be so unprofessional. They obviously do not respect the patients as my grandmother was just left in a hospital gown. My grandmother was admitted to this place after coming out of the hospital. I was told I would be called when she arrived at the facility. No one ever called. I called 6 times this morning and no one seemed to know where my grandmother was. I asked if they could help facilitate her with this phone call. After being on hold forever I called back and requested to speak to the director. But alas they found her. 30 minutes after we got off the phone, a friend found her in a wheel chair lost in some hallway. She has never used a wheel chair. No one helped her order her meals. about their appearance here because they looked like slobs. It was not easy to reach them in an emergency. I had to call several times before I finally reached them. They were a little too argumentative and angry. They didn't seem like they wanted to listen to almost anything I had to say.
