My daughter came with me to visit our beloved patient who we have visited once a week on Sundays during lunch. She was appauled when she asked a worker to help our loved one get on the toilet because he had to go. My daughter was told that the patient was not on her side of the home and she was busy. She told my daughter not to try to get him out of his wheelchair due to liability even though he needed help so he would not eliminate in his chair, so my daughter broke the "rules" and took him to his toilet, pulled his pants down, and placed him on his toilet, even though it was slightly too late. When he was finished, she cleaned him up and put fresh clothes on him and brought him back to the activity room where his visitors were waiting for him not speaking of the humiliation he endured being wiped and cleaned by my compassionate daughter. Before this, we were already feeling sad for another patient who wanted to sit at our table but was being "punished" for chatting and not eating her food in the staff appropriate timing when this woman doesn't receive visitors or anyone who shows her love except the love she feels at the table that we visit.????

They barely gave me any information at all. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. My brother received inappropriate treatment, was left in pain. When I asked why he did not get what he needed, they told me they would get to him when they had time. They called me at home and accused me in interfering with my brother's care. Within 3 days of being there, my brother's condition worsened. They ignored his pleas to be sent back to the hospital, until I arrived and demanded he be sent. He died in the emergency room.

I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic. I plan on telling everyone I know about how fabulous this nursing home is. Its really a place you can trust. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here.
