Very short of staff. Staff are stretched thin which has a negative affect on patients....our VETERANS. The state of NJ has cut back funding for the VETERANS. The Veterans do not receive the care they deserve,

Don't really care about the office environment. The patients' rooms seem always neat and clean. Because I do the personal laundry, I note that they change his clothes every day. The staff is very friendly, interacts well with the patients, and are helpful and keeps me up to date on any and all issues. They have musical entertainment every Saturday and these entertainers always try to engage the patients (even though it is the Alzheimer's area). I like that patients are very rarely in their rooms, mainly they are in the 'recreation' area in sight of all the nurses. The only thing I would like is if they allowed the patients to go outside, especially since there is an enclosed courtyard and I don't see that this could prove difficult to keep tract of anyone. I think it would add a sense of freedom to those who wish to go in and out at will. I know it would require coats during the colder weather and not allow patients to get overheated in summer, but it is a lovely courtyard.

I plan on telling everyone I know about how terrible this nursing home is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best. I was somewhat uneasy during my appointment. I was never able to fully relax. I wish they gave me good advice, but most of the time they only give me advice that would benefit them. They could've used quite a few more staff members. They are staffed by only Haitians, Indians, and Jamaicans. THEY ARE THE RUDEST MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF I HAVE EVER SEEN!
