My mother has been a resident hear for almost two years. It was a blessing that we found a facility as wonderful as Pacific Haven. I am there on a regular basis and my experience has been nothing but positive. I have peace of mind when I am not there. They have a full staff of caring, compassionate and attentive People. They take time to listen and respond at the drop of a hat to any requests, questions or concerns I may have on my mothers behalf. The facility is always being kept and smells clean. They provide a variety of activities and physical therapy according to the abilites of the resident. Throughout the day, at given times, they play music over the speaker. They call this time "Happy Feet" to encourage social interaction among the residents. They CNA's even take time to, not just comb her hair, but to add a personal touch with a clip on flower or a cute braid. I was so touched by that.

Not at all, they had plenty of staff members to help me whenever I needed assistance

Definitely! It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen!

I have to admit.....I had never been to this type of hospital before so I didn't know what to expect. But the moment I walked in to visit a family friend, I was treated like a VIP. The staff was very friendly and I was warmly greeted everywhere I went. The staff confidently answered questions I had about the facility. I saw nurses taking the time to have conversations with their patients and their family members. I had heard so much that places like this treat their patients badly, but every interaction I saw was very warm and caring. When we went to get our friend in the activities room, they were all having so much fun with the staff and were actively engaged with one another. Like I said, I didn't know what to expect, but I had a very positive, enjoyable experience.

These people do not care for the ill. All they care about is the money. They leave subacute patients unattended for hours. Choking in their own fluids (Mucus). I don't know how this place has 5 stars. I'm shocked. Please don't take your loved ones. Very disrespectful and inhumane facility to the ill.
