I was very pleased to see such a nice clean facility and smiling faces from the workers that I met in the parking lot. That all changed when I went inside and was greeted by the receptionist, who has no business being the first contact with the families coming in to check out the facility. She was rude, short with her answers and acted like she could care less if she helped you are not.
My view of the facility was changed when I met Debra one of the admissions employees and was able to see the facility and talk to Debra more about the care for my mom. Upon leaving I was told I would hear back from them the next day, that turned into 4 days and my return call from Tiffany was anything but pleasant. She let me know real fast I needed to keep my search going and they didn't have a bed for my mom. When I asked about a waiting list I was told just keep looking that would be your best bet ! I have made several tries to reach Mr. Westbury the Adm. of the facility and left several messages for him on his voicemail, not of which have been replied to. If this is how they treat family who are interested in placing members of there family here how do they treat the residents who are already there ! Needless to say I would not place my mom there or anyone else in my family at this point !!!! I think the Corporate Office needs to take a serious look at how rude and nasty some of the employees come across to the public.

My Mom was there for 9 months and was hospitialized 3 times, once she laid for 5 days with 102 degree temp. and family had to insisted she be transferred to hospital. She was dehydrated, uritary track infection, and a bed sore, among other things. Bed sore turned into pressure wound with MRSA and ECOLI and she has had wound care treatment since May 2014 until present. CNA's go on break at same time, and if you need help, nurses will tell you they don't do that.........you have to wait. Communication poor. Will lie to your face and overchare Medicare, so check your bills.

My Mom is there now and has been for over a year. I was very reluctant at first, but this has turned out to be such a nice facility! The staff care for my mom like she is their own. The place is decorated so nicely for each holiday and they honor each person on their birthday! Please don't hesitate.

Did the staff at this senior care facility ever take personal phone calls when they were supposed to be helping you?
Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

No, they could have used some continuing education courses

Not one bit

Not really, but I found a spot

I was looking for a nursing home for my grandmother and took a tour of a couple of different places. Westbury Jackson was a bit further than the Griffin Nursing homes but it was well worth the drive. Westbury in Jackson has a courtyard that my grandmother can sit in and smell the beautiful roses. Westbury in Jackson also has a pavilion that we sit in on the weekends. My grandmother really enjoys being at Westbury. I am so glad I toured all of the facilities before making a decision about where place my grandmother.
