Dr Hollis impressed me at our first appointment, he was friendly, attentive, and seems interested in providing good care. Unfortunately our second appointment was very different. He refused to do the test I requested and to give me the referral I needed. He was very short with me and didn't seem to care at all.

For those of you who are on Medicare, or care for family members who are, be ware. Contrary to what you are told, the Medicare Wellness check is requested at the discretion of the patient not the doctor's office. Dr. Hollis is instructing staff to call Medicare patients to set up a wellness check. He receives $104.01 from Medicare for each check performed by the nurse practitioner. This is borderline fraud according to Medicare Fraud Hotline.

My dad has COPD and colon cancer. I requested some home health and his comment to me in front of my dad was, "For what reason? For what reason? He has a chronic condition and will never be any better and it will cost millions of Medicare dollars. Now look at what is happening to the wellness check dollars. They are going into his pocket.

My mom was called to come in for her Wellness Check. She made the comment in front of his staff, and he overheard, that she had been waiting a good while and needed to get home to check on my dad. He jumped my mom and told her she would wait a HELL of a lot longer elsewhere than she had there. Elder abuse???

He told my mom, who is 83, that as of that day he would no longer see her or my dad. The letter we received indicated she had "fired" him not that he "fired" her. Covering his rear on this one and who is going to disagree. Staff would be concerned for their job.

As long as I have known him and recently been around the hospital, ER, and hospice, I have not heard one positive thing about him and I can quote you name and incident where he has not responded in a very professional manner.

I suspect that he was upset with me, the daughter, because of questions and my attitude to his responses, that he is now taking it out on my parents.

It is his way or the highway.

I don't know of anywhere else that would've taken better care of me. I had a great experience. They made sure that their qualifications were obvious. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better.
